Coyote Ugly is Moab Utahs newest hard core trail! The Coyote Ugly trail starts out of a dry creek bed up a wash filled with large loose rocks. It is tough right from the start, with a narrow slot between two massive boulders. Unlike some other trails in Moab, Coyote Ugly is unrelenting from start to finish. the terrain is different from normal Moab slickrock and traction is not near as good either! Lots of caorse grained sand and large loose rocks are the norm. The out on Coyote Ugly trail also offers extreme rock stepping with a vertical angle. Coyote Ugly trail has very large diameter boulders that could swallow a Jeep in one "gulp". The entrance from Coyote Ugly lended a hand to lay this vehicle on its side. Coyote Ugly trail offers this large boulder to maneuver around without ripping the side of the Jeep off. Off camber ledges needed manual assistance to make the turn. |
